Another LEGO Sears Tower is on Ebay...

The third LEGO Sears Tower has now just been posted on Ebay.
After last month's successful sale of the second Sears Tower, I have posted the third one. Soon I'll be posting a time-lapse video of the construction of the LEGO Sears tower. Watch this spot for updates! :)

A brief history of the last few years.

Back in 1999 I had rediscovered my passion for LEGO after buying a small Star Wars LEGO set on a whim one bored Saturday afternoon. In the years that followed my modest California apartment slowly morphed into a small version of Legoland.

Back in 2004 I completed what was then the crown jewel of my LEGO city - an 8 and a half foot replica of New York's Chrysler Building made out of about 40,000 LEGO bricks. It took seven months to build and many orders from Bricklink.com to build this behemoth.

In 2005 I moved to Atlanta for a new job and to be close to my family and my then girlfriend (now wife) Macy. I continued to build new LEGO buildings and had a nice sized city on a table in my spare bedroom.

After building LEGO structures I picked up a paint brush for the first time in over a decade. I tried painting various subjects but quickly learned that my niche was outer space. Last year I did several paintings of space scenes. (Starscapes?)

Today, I now switch between LEGO and acrylic paints. I have done a few small space paintings in the last few weeks (which will be posted on this blog very soon) as well as a large 2'x4' canvas of the Eagle Nebula (though the theme of the painting may change somewhat in the near future, but will still involve space.)

In the LEGO department I'm working on the Sears Tower project. I built a 3 foot model of the Sears Tower and am duplicating it to sell online. The second one is now on Ebay and a third duplicate is already more than half-done. I'm also photographing the construction process to make a stop-motion animation of the tower being built.

For more of my LEGO art please visit my Brickshelf Gallery.

I also did a series of skyscraper diagrams for Skyscraperpage.com

Thanks for reading! :)
